About Us.

Tempest Racing is a small Automotive Performance shop that has been located in Southern Maryland for the last 15+ years. We hear all the time when people come here for the first time that we are way smaller than people expected us to be. Our staff typically ranges from 1 to 3 employee’s at a time. Staying small allows us to keep a more personal experience for our customers along with allowing us to weather storms like the financial crisis of 2008 and the current Corona Virus thing going on in 2020 while so many other shops go under. We pride ourselves on honesty, quality craftsmanship, suggestions on parts/set ups based off of past experiences, not profit margins. There are certain areas of a project where you want to spend a little extra for the nice stuff, and other areas where maybe you can save a few dollars. Let us help you make the right decisions the first time!

The bulk of our business is Dyno Tuning, Dyno, Dyno Rental, Welding, and Fabrication but we also do some aftermarket part installations, vehicle maintenance, wiring, some engine builds and engine swaps. Please send us an email with what you are looking to do to see if it is something we can do for you. If it is not something we do, or something we are currently too busy to take on, we can typically refer you to somebody who can!
