Remote Tuning (Currently Unavailable)

To Focus on Holley EFI Online Training Course

  • What is it?

Remote tuning is where we tune your vehicle, however you are not at our facility. This can be done on the road (power level depending), at the race track, or at a dyno local to you.

  • How does it work?

We use 2 methods, or a blend of the 2. Method 1, is the email method. We will email files and data logs back & fourth. This option is more cost effective but takes longer. Option 2 is where I connect live to your computer and make changes real time. Option 3 is a blend of the first 2 options.

  • Who is it for?

Currently available for Holley EFI only. (Dominator, hp, Terminator X, & Sniper). If you are local enough to get to us, that is always the best option. However this gives us the ability to tune cars anywhere in the world.

Requirements

-You must have a Holley EFI system on your car, boat, or other type of vehicle (surprise us, the odd ones are fun!)

-You must know what parts are on your vehicle. We will need to know specifically what fuel injectors, map sensor, etc. are on your car in order to properly calibrate it.

-A basic understanding of “cars” is required. Since we are not there with the vehicle, you will need to be able to inform us of what is actually happening, outside of what we can see in the data logs/live data. As an example, sometimes all of the data will be spot on, but maybe the car is running poorly. you will need to be able to relay that in a way that will can then trouble shoot what is actually happening together. When everything is working correctly things go smooth, but when they are not, trouble shooting becomes much harder during remote tuning than in person tuning.

-You must be able to download/send data logs and global files, and be able to load new global files to your car. I have videos i can send that will show you how to do that so it shouldn’t be an issue but a little bit of computer knowledge is required. In some instances performing firmware updates to your ecu will be required as well. If you are not able to do these things, we can still help walk you through it / do it for you, but it is not included in the price of tuning.

-An internet connection is required. Typically, emailing global files and data logs back and forth is not an issue. However, when live tuning a good, solid internet connection will be needed. With out a proper internet connection, live tuning will not be possible.

-If your vehicle has adjustable timing (say a small block ford, for example-unlike a chevy LS that is fixed) you will need a timing light, and you will need to know how to set the timing. we can help guide you through how to lock the timing in the ecu for you to match said timing at the distributor/crank trigger etc, but you must be able to set and confirm the timing. This step is critically important.

-Depending on power levels you may need access to a dyno (doing at least a few runs on a dyno is always desirable). If the car spins the tires, it makes it impossible to dial in the tune. So trying to tune high power cars on the street is usually not doable.

-Having multiple sets of spark plugs, and being able to remove and send pictures of spark plugs can often be advantageous. The higher the power level, the more important this becomes.
